People got overexcited when the first cell phone tracking systems were launched but there were some people that started to complain about them. The main thing about which they complained is that these applications were helping other people to narrow down their privacy. This is kind of true but in some cases it was really helpful especially for parents. It is a great thing to be able to keep track of your kid’s whereabouts especially if you know they like to wander in all sorts of places. Kids didn’t like this idea and they rebelled against it, naturally.

As with every new piece of technology, more and more people started to say that the government will start to use it against them. These are just wild ideas you might say but there is a small percentage of truth in them. The government has access to these applications so basically nothing stops them from hiring a few hackers to hack into all the cell phones in the US and to give them an insight of what people are doing and where they are at any time of day.

‘Suits’ were also thought to use the powers of these cell phone tracker applications. Some people said that the applications had a hidden data base which was able to hold all the information about someone’s location and then transfer it to the cell phone of a businessman. These people are thought of using this information to see where are the most populated areas which are great for placing advertisements.

Don’t get too scared about these things, though, because they will only get to people that are scared by them. If you don’t believe in such claims, you won’t have to worry about any government spying on you.
