Zojirushi is one of my personal favorites when it comes to all sorts of different kitchen appliances, rice cookers, refrigerators and perhaps surprisingly coffee makers as well. This will be a short review of the Zojirushi EC-BD15BA thermal carafe coffee maker. There will be coverage of a few different points regarding this budget coffee maker, including reasons why I think anyone not interested in switching away from their trusty old drip coffee maker should give this coffee machine a look in.
First huge plus point for this machine as you can imagine from the title is the fact that the machine comes with a thermal carafe as opposed to a glass carafe. While I do still believe that glass coffee makers can be implemented into some lower end coffee makers, I think that anything above the 50 dollar price mark should have a thermal carafe these days. The main reason that I say this is because the glass carafe while helping to cut costs, in fact without fail ruins the flavor of the coffee in less than 1 hours from the brew cycle being completed. This is not the case with thermal carafes.
Another great feature of this coffee maker is the price. You can take a look for yourself, but on the amzon.com best sellers list you will see that this thing is roughly the same price as the Cuisinart DCC-1200 review, and the DCC-1200 comes with the glass carafe. Also the quality of the coffee that you get from both machines is outstanding, the big difference with the EC-BD15BA is that that same outstanding flavor stays with the coffee until you have finished drinking it.
Thanks ever so much for reading this review. If you are after a budget priced coffee maker that “consistently” produces great tasting coffee, I highly recommend that you try out this coffee maker.
