Writing is a form of representation of language and ideas in text by using different signs and symbols. A person who composes a story or text is known as a writer, while on the other hand a translator is a person who understands a text written by someone else in one language and the translator then produces it in another language.

Historically, writing begun because of economic necessity and the same is still true today. Overall, many writers want to be paid for the work that they do. It is in this regard that other people have seen this as an opportunity to exploit theses writers. When one punches into any search engine the key words “writing articles online” or “article writing jobs”, they are given a number of links, many of which are not legitimate.

In one such search, I was given access to a link that told me that I was exactly what they were looking for, that I had the necessary skills and would be able to start work immediately. So happy, I registered for the service; then came the hard part when they asked for my credit card details. Apparently I was supposed to pay a small sum to fully register as a member of the service and start making money immediately. It is at this point that I realized I was being scammed, I mean here I am looking for a legitimate job on the internet and someone is telling me that in order to start work I have to pay them money. What happened to the old system of work first then get paid? Is it now a system of pay first, work, and then possibly get paid?

The only good thing about this experience is that I have learned that when looking for writing/article writing jobs online, I should be very careful so as not to be scammed.

My advice is that writers should only work for companies that are legitimate and serious about hiring and not those that are only after the money.
