You start losing as soon as you don’t try as hard as you can. Why shouldn’t you use the power and energy you got? It’s necessary for having a great life to have great effort; even those people that seem to get just everything they want don’t get this by chance: they either think optimistic and do everything they can or they involve themselves in things, duties and activities that improve your life comfort: sports, carrier and socializing themselves.
