We did not get the in-ground hoop because it would have taken so much trouble to get it set up. I was unwilling to pay more money to have some one get it placed in our yard. Another factor why we chose not to get a permanent hoop is we are looking at the possibility of moving out very soon. We were right about the portable matching our basketball needs but then we faced a different sort of problem. Our hoop is just out there sitting in the yard and I was worried that it might get stolen. Unfortunately in our neighborhood that is a very real concern. So how do I set about securing something that is supposed to be portable?

I did some research into the matter and hopefully what I have found out can help out others who have the same concern as I did.

1. The best method would be to place it on a spot here it would be hard for anyone to approach, let alone get it without being seen. A place near your house or a spot that is overlooked by a window would be good places to start with.

2. You can secure it with a chain to the ground or a wall. That would make it doubly hard for anyone trying to steal it.

3. You can have it moved to a secure location after each game or when you will not be using it for a long time. This may sound like a lot of trouble but at least you do not have to worry about your hoop   getting stolen.

These are the kind of information that you can not hope to find on a basketball hoop review. You can use these to enjoy your game on your very own court.
